Admission Details

Online applications in prescribed format are invited for admission to 2 years B.Ed. Course for Session 2026 to 2028.

Online Admission forms will be available on and from 11th September, 2026 to 25th September, 2026.

Admission will be as per Govt. Order No. 1003-HED-17014(99)/60/2022-CS-SEC-DEPT. OF HE dated 31/08/2026.

The total seats are 50 (Deputed candidates 5% and the rest are Fresher candidates). If a deputed seat lies vacant due to the unavailability of deputed candidates, it will be filled by fresher candidates as per the reservation rules.

Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be as per West Bengal Government Rule.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidate with at least 50% marks for General/OBC and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates either in the Bachelor Degree (Honours/General) or Master Degree in School Subjects are eligible to apply.
  2. Fresher General/OBC Candidate upto 35 years and for SC/ST upto 40 years can apply.
  3. Candidates should be Graduate in a school subject from a recognized University.
  4. Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with Science and/or Mathematics, with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are also eligible for admission. Such candidates are required to enter the marks of B.E./B.Tech. in the row of Honours Degree. M.E./M.Tech result, if any, will be entered in the Master's Degree row.
  5. Honours Graduates in school subject should enter the Honours marks only in the row of Bachelor's degree (Honours).
  6. In case of General Graduates, the total marks obtained in general subjects should be entered in the row of Bachelor's degree (General).
  7. Teachers of recognized Secondary Schools having at least 1 year approved teaching experience and having requisite qualification shall have to apply online through the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary) for being considered as "Deputed Candidate".

Note: The applicant must have at least one School subject at the graduation level as a main subject.

Main subjects are those whose marks contribute to the aggregate in the final (degree) mark sheet and the subjects have been studied other than compulsory subjects in the graduation/post graduation level.

Entry of Marks for Scoring

  • Madhyamik/Equivalent Examination: Put the aggregate of total marks excluding the additional subjects.
  • Higher Secondary Examination: Calculate the aggregate of total marks (Best Four) including the additional subjects.
  • Honours Graduates in school subjects: Enter the Honours marks only in the row of Bachelor's degree (Honours). To get the full marks for Honours subjects or Pass Subjects, whichever is applicable, follow the information given on the back-side of the final mark sheet of UG level.
  • General Graduates: In the case of General Graduates, i.e. candidates having graduated without Hons or equivalent, the total marks obtained in general subjects should be entered in the row of Bachelor's degree (General).
  • For candidates with less than 50% marks in the Honours degree, the total marks of Pass and Honours subjects will be considered. If it becomes 50% or more, that score will be entered in the Graduation (General) row. Such a candidate will be treated as a pass graduate.

Candidates applying with CGPA/SGPA scores must submit supporting documents in respect of conversion from CGPA/SGPA score.
Important Note: Candidates should carefully calculate the percentage of marks and scores against the percentage of marks obtained. Any mistake identified at any point during admission or even during the continuation of the programme may lead to the cancellation of candidature.

Selected Candidates are asked to bring all requisite documents in original for verification at the time of Admission.

Required Documents

Self-attested documents are required to be uploaded while filling up the online forms:

  1. All applicants have to upload copies of all Academic documents right from ICSE/MP/CBSE onwards and other applicable SC, ST, OBC & PWD certificates.
  2. In addition to the above, the Deputed Candidate must produce Original M.C./G.B. Permission, Approval Copy of the D.I. of School countersigned by the Headmaster/Headmistress. That very letter will be countersigned by the D.I. of School without which their admission will be turned down.
  3. Applicants are asked to upload photocopy of:
    • Aadhar Card
    • Voter's ID
    • Recent colour passport-size photograph

Important Instructions

After filling the online form, hard copies of all the uploaded documents along with the filled-in online application forms must be submitted in the college during office hours.

Note: Selected candidates are asked to submit original Certificate of Migration from their respective Universities at the time of admission.

Admission will be cancelled if the documents are found not in conformity with the declaration in the forms submitted online.
